An interdisciplinary Masters programme, drawing on the resources of Oxford’s three world leading migration research centres
A pathway leading to doctoral studies or careers outside academia
Four taught components and a dissertation: international migration in the social sciences; key themes in international migration; thematic and regional options; quantitative and qualitative research methods
Problem-focused learning rooted in social science disciplines
Breadth and depth: the programme covers a wide range of migration-related topics, but is at the same time firmly anchored in global social and economic change
Teaching in small tutorial groups alongside lectures and seminars; individual dissertation supervision
Students may also attend lectures and seminar on our sister degree, the MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies
Students will be members of two Oxford University Departments as well as their College
