  • An interdisciplinary Masters programme, drawing on the resources of Oxford’s three world leading migration research centres
  • A pathway leading to doctoral studies or careers outside academia
  • Four taught components and a dissertation: international migration in the social sciences; key themes in international migration; thematic and regional options; quantitative and qualitative research methods
  • Problem-focused learning rooted in social science disciplines
  • Breadth and depth: the programme covers a wide range of migration-related topics, but is at the same time firmly anchored in global social and economic change
  • Teaching in small tutorial groups alongside lectures and seminars; individual dissertation supervision
  • Students may also attend lectures and seminar on our sister degree, the MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies 
  • Students will be members of two Oxford University Departments as well as their College
