Archives
The Centre has, from the beginning, tried to build up archives relevant to the Centre. It contains various documents, including rare translations, bulletins and journals not available in libraries. Amongst the items available are notes of lectures given by Halbwachs from a donor in Paris, many photographs of Durkheim and his group (probably the best available collection anywhere in the world), a sound- recording of Durkheim's voice, made in 1913, and several doctoral theses in French. There are many files relating to the Centre as well as foreign journals.
