Dr Vibha Joshi Parkin

Vibha Joshi Parkin was a postdoctoral fellow at the Manx Planck Society for the Advancement for Science from November 2009 to October 2011. She received her DPhil In social anthropology at the University of Oxford in 2002. Her dissertation investigated the interaction between Christian and non-Christian Angami Naga with special consideration of traditional healing practices. She has been working on the Naga since 1985 and has done several projects on the material culture of Naga and museum collections in Northeast India and elsewhere, funded by the British Academy, London and the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research, New York.
