My doctoral thesis ‘Christianity under Colonialism: The Case of Māòhi Protestantism in French Polynesia’ explores local Christianity as an instrument of anti-colonial resistance and a space where Māòhi people, the indigenous population of French Polynesia, express their indigenous identity, history, and religiosity. I am also interested in indigenous heritage transmission and have worked in different domains of cultural revitalisation such as dance, language, and traditional medicine.
